I received my Master of Fine Arts in Writing from the University of San Francisco in 2016.
Red Rock Canyon, a story from a short fiction collection I am working on, was published by Helen as part of their Friday Night Specials series in December 2016.
I created a wiki called It Takes Two: 1967’s The Taming of the Shrew vs. 1999’s 10 Things I Hate About You (2011), comparing the two films for my Film & Literature class in 2011.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English, with a minor in History in 2010.
For my final project for Women and Literature in 2010, I submitted “Little Lady Love: A Moving Storyboard.” I retold the story of “The Bloody Chamber” by Angela Carter through photography and music.
I directed the short film “Come Together” for Atomic Cocktail Entertainment. We were one of the top ten finalists for the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Online Filmmakers’ Contest in 2010. We won a Silver Screen Award at the 2011 Nevada Film Festival in their Short Film competition.
I created “Seven Sins of the Sisters” as my final creative project for Outlaw Genres: U.S. Third World Women’s Autobiography in 2008. It combined photography and music. From this final project sprung a side effort, which I called Into the Mouth of Madness.
I co-produced a virtual TV series called “The Alliance of Destiny” from 2003 to 2006. It combined Harry Potter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Alias into one cohesive universe.
I was published in the CSN Coyote Press in 2004 for my article on Las Vegas rock band, The Killers.
I first participated in NaNoWriMo in 2003. I ended up creating what became my online series, “Understudy.”
My short story, “The Seduction of Francesca Miller,” won third place at the 2002 Modesto Junior College Celebration of the Humanities.
